This Valentine's Day, join us in spreading love, as we unveil a curated list of our favourite romantic drinking and dining spots across the country, featuring venues and fine dining restaurants that set the perfect ambience for a Valentine's Day meal. Of course, of all the counties, we hold a special fondness for our local Hampshire venues. However, we have made sure to include some top-notch picks from multiple regions, all perfect for celebrating the most special of occasions in style (And, of course, they all serve Hattingley!).
So without further ado, here are our Top 10 recommended venues to visit this Valentine’s Day for a special meal with some rather special English fizz!

The Woolpack Inn, Totford
Located just a few miles down the road from Hattingley Valley, The Woolpack is our very own Hampshire gem. Wonderfully cosy inside, it’s the perfect spot for a romantic evening meal, to enjoy some locally sourced produce, alongside a top-notch wine list. Why not make the day truly special, and join us for a Tour and Tasting Experience at the Winery and afterwards meander the short way down the road, for a delightful evening meal?

This standout restaurant, situated in the scenic Abbey Gardens in central Winchester, is a truly vibrant dining experience. With impressive cocktails, seasonal menus and a beautiful dining space, it’s ideal for celebrating with loved ones. And, only 25 minutes away from the Hattingley Valley Winery, we can certainly say it’s one of our favourites!
3. AO by Daniel Rogan, Southampton
An exciting new fine dining experience, AO by Daniel Rogan is both modern and welcoming. With raving reviews for service, ambience and impeccable quality food, AO is a restaurant that you will be talking about long after your meal has ended. Perfect for sharing in a uniquely special dining experience this Valentine's.
4. The Pig, Brockenhurst
If you are looking to treat yourself and your loved ones this Valentine’s, look no further than The Pig at Brockenhurst. Enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery of the New Forest as you avail yourself of the 25-mile menu (the pork loin is to die for!) and sip on something from the extensive wine list! Pst… it’s one of the few places you can enjoy our Hattingley Valley award-winning Blanc de Blancs by the bottle!

The only pub in the UK with a Michelin star, if this one is your local, we seriously envy you! In true Tom Kerridge style, the setting is wonderfully welcoming, the perfect place to hunker down for the evening and enjoy the delicious and award-winning pub-style menu, perhaps paired with some award-winning English Sparkling Wine too? Keep an eye out for our Hattingley Valley x Hand in Flowers collaborative bottle while you are there!
6. Joia, Battersea
Located in Battersea power station’s new Art’otel, Joia is a beautifully designed Restaurant, Bar and Rooftop overlooking the new Battersea development. Its Portuguese creations are delightful for sharing in a romantic meal and pair perfectly with our Hattingley Valley English Sparkling Wines, of which all three of our core Sparklings are available! Not to mention the restaurant itself is perfectly pink!
7. Bedford Street Wines and The Oystermen, Covent Garden
Bonus venue, two for one! From the same owners in Covent Garden, Bedford Street Wines and The Oysterman, Covent Garden, are two delightful spots to enjoy and share the love. Perhaps begin your evening at the former for a cosy glass of English Sparkling, where both our Classic Reserve and prestige Kings Cuvée are available to savour! Then wander the minute up the road to The Oysterman for some seriously delicious seafood!
8. Galvin La Chapelle, Bishopsgate
For a classically romantic French meal, Galvin La Chapelle is a rather impressive spot. As the name suggests the Grade II listed former school chapel is the ambient setting for this exceptional fine dining experience. With impeccable food and service, La Chapelle is certainly the classy choice for your Valentine's meal.
