2016 was a challenging year for English wine, with many vineyards plagued by frost and other difficulties at the start of the season. The resulting harvest was very small with only tiny quantities of wine being made. This meant that we didn’t release a Hattingley Valley reserve based on our 2016 vintage… until now. 

The remainder of the growing season in 2016 was significantly better than the start, with a long hot summer, ideal for ripening our grapes, but still only in small quantities. What we did produce, we decided to put into some very special magnum bottles, only to be released on a truly noteworthy occasion. View our 10 year celebration video here.
