Wonderfully aromatic, our 100% chardonnay is back again for another vintage!

Pale lemon in colour, it is wonderfully vibrant, with aromas of lime, blossom, candied pear and tart nectarine on the nose.

Citrus and green apple continue on the palate, along with notes of elderflower, which are complimented by a natural bright acidity. A fine and rich mouthfeel ends in a long and refreshing finish! 

“I don’t like chardonnay, but I do like Chablis”, it’s a phrase we hear often in the wine world.

The reason people say it is because they remember the heavily oaked Chardonnay of the 90s. In fact, Chablis wines are crafted from the same Chardonnay grape, but with minimal oak influence. So, in reality, when people express this sentiment they are indicating a preference for un-oaked chardonnay. If this is your preference you're in luck as out Still Chardonnay is very lightly oaked indeed...

Crisp summer in glass

I didn’t quite expect the slightly unusual flavour. On first taste I might have given it the thumbs down. However, sitting outside on a lovely evening with fish for dinner it changed my mind. A crisp fresh acidity that lingers but with a dry finish. The second bottle proves it was worth the effort!

Excellent - Surprised

I wasn't expecting this from an english wine. This is as good as a refined Chablis, but without being overly creamy from heavy oak. There is just enough oak to add a little creaminess balanced with crisp acidity and slight mineral.
