Hattingley Valley has quickly established itself as one of the UK’s most successful wineries, winning over 180 industry awards for its still and sparkling wines, which are enjoyed throughout the UK and exported internationally to 16 countries.

The Role

Hattingley Valley is one of the leading producers of English sparkling wine in the country and is located near Alresford, Hampshire.

We are continuing to expand our tours and cellar door experiences for public and private/corporate events and are looking for a keen wine enthusiast to join our team to run this aspect of the business.

The role is primarily weekend based although we have recently expanded our mid-week tour options due to increasing demand and popularity of wine tourism in England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering an exceptional, engaging experience to both the public and private visitors to Hattingley Valley
  • Developing new tours business opportunities, working with colleagues in the Sales, Marketing and Events teams
  • Collaborating with the winery, production and vineyard teams to build a working knowledge of the processes followed and key future developments, involving them in tours as may be appropriate
  • Managing an Assistant and team of volunteers

Preference will be given to those who...

  • Are interested in wine
  • Are personable with a good sense of humour
  • Are well organised and have good time and diary management skills
  • Are happy to work on the weekends (day times predominantly)
  • Have sales, retail or hospitality experience

You might:

  • Currently be doing this role at another winery
  • Be in hospitality and seeking a change
  • Be studying wine in some form and wondering which route to take
  • Come from a completely different walk of life and want a total change, all applicants will be considered

Hours & Benefits

Hours: 40 hours Monday to Friday 9.00 to 5.00 (30 minutes for lunch)
