Hattingley Valley: The Top Sparkling Wine of 2020
We are proud to announce that our Kings Cuvée 2014 vintage has won 3 trophies at the Wine GB Awards 2020. The Kings Cuvée won the Best Classic Cuvée Vintage Trophy, Vintners' Trophy for Top Sparkling Wine 2020 and Winner of the Gore-Browne Trophy for Supreme Champion 2020.
2014 was a fantastic vintage with almost perfect growing conditions. A mild spring for budburst, ideal conditions at flowering and high temperatures and plenty of sunshine throughout June and July led to good yields and excellent quality. the Kings Cuvée is a premium blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. 100% barrel fermented and then aged for seven months in old oak barrels, resulting in a much softer, creamier and spicier wine.
