Hello! We’re Susie & Peter, married Masters of Wine…and we need your help.
We love English wine. So making some delicious, unique bottles for charity was our idea of fun. Now we need you to buy and enjoy these brilliant wines so we can give a whole heap of cash to the amazing Marine Conservation Society. Buy the duo for £50 and a single bottle for £20.
All profits are going straight to the charity. So, in buying them, you are helping keep our seas clean and full of life. Not only that, but both bottles are collector’s items, graced by bespoke artworks from acclaimed street artist Hendog. We couldn’t have done this project without amazing support – huge thanks also to Hattingley Valley, our original partners in this escapade.
But what of the wines?
We made three in total (the original plan was just for one, but we got over-excited). All tiny productions, all totally unique, so snap them up before they’re gone forever! One very special Essex Pinot Noir. And two beautiful Hampshire sparkling wines, both quite different in style, which are the ones you see here.
Hope & Glory Blanc de Blancs 2016 (the one with the man on the label) is 100% Chardonnay, one third aged in oak, with four years on lees and a dosage of 10g/l. It’s refined, stylish and complex – one to revive the senses and nourish the soul.
Hope & Glory The Blend 2017 (the one with the woman on the label) is 50% Pinot Meunier, 50% Chardonnay. We think Meunier has superstar potential in Britain – it’s so scented and succulent. The wine was one third aged in oak, with 3 years on lees and a dosage of 9g/l. It’s dangerously moreish.
We made fewer bottles of the Blanc de Blancs (2016 was hit by frost, making for intense wines but lower yields). So we’re selling them either as a double-pack or as singles of The Blend. Whichever you go for – thank you, on behalf of the Marine Conservation Society and English wine in general. Cheers!
