KINGS CUVÉE 2015
With an attractive pale golden colour and fine mousse, our Kings Cuvée has vibrant citrus zest aromas layered with honey and nuts, and smoothly integrated flavours of brioche, vanilla and creamy oak. Deep and rich, yet with a refreshing palate of bright, crisp acidity and a long, complex finish.
HARVEST
Our 2015 season was a rollercoaster ride from a cold summer to a gloriously sunny autumn. A late start to harvest produced wonderfully crisp acids, intense flavours, and perfect conditions for sparkling wines with enormous ageing potential like our Kings Cuvée, where 100% barrel age provides a soft, rounded finish.
WINEMAKING
A very limited release, the Kings Cuvée is a premium blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. 100% barrel fermented and then aged for seven months in old oak barrels, resulting in a much softer, creamier and spicier wine. After rigorous taste tests, only the top six barrels were selected out of approximately 200 available. Once bottled, the wine spent over six years on lees before disgorging with 6g/L dosage.

The Kings Curvee 2014 was a very nice wine fresh with plenty of fruits in the taste. It was very much worth the price and could not recommend it enough.
I initially purchased two bottles of the Kings Cuvee 2014 vintage for my local wine society tasting evening as to counter the Francophiles constant that Champagne is the only sparkling wine worthy of special occasions.
It was an overwhelming success, every member agreed it was a glorious wine and most certainly worthy of a special occasion.
I’ve gone on to buy more of the Kings Cuvee 2014 vintage purely for myself for Christmas. It’s full of complex aromas and subtleties of palette.
Sadly my bank balance doesn’t allow me to buy up the remaining stock for my personal consumption.

This is one of the best English sparkling wines I have ever had the pleasure of sampling. Very crisp, yet very soft. It easily rivals most sparkling white wines from anywhere around the globe. Absolutely delicious, and a great indicator of the high standards at Hattingley. I shan’t hesitate to sample others in their collection.
